BrickLink, the popular online marketplace for LEGO® parts and sets, is set to introduce LEGO Account integration in fall 2025. Since being acquired by the LEGO Group in 2020, BrickLink has undergone numerous improvements, and the upcoming integration represents a major step forward. The change will allow users to sign in to both LEGO.com and BrickLink.com using a single unified LEGO Account.
For those who already have a LEGO Account, the option to merge it with their BrickLink account will soon be available. New users will be required to create a LEGO Account and complete the merge in order to continue using BrickLink services. In regions where the LEGO Insiders program is available, a LEGO Account is automatically created during the sign-up process.
While the core user experience on BrickLink will remain unchanged, several key aspects of the platform will be affected by the integration. These include:
ID Card Images to Be Replaced
All custom ID card images will be removed just before the integration and replaced with standard visuals. A new system of preset profile images?called avatars?will be introduced, featuring LEGO minifigures and colored backgrounds. Updated versions of classic BrickLink profile pics will also be included.
Users who wish to keep their current ID card image should download it before fall 2025. Download access is scheduled to launch later this week.
Changes to Usernames and Store Names
In the months following the integration, LEGO Account nicknames will become public usernames on BrickLink. This transition will not occur immediately upon integration.
If an existing username or store name does not comply with LEGO Account nickname guidelines, users are advised to update it early to secure their preferred name.
Updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
LEGO System A/S will become the primary data controller for most activities and data handling on BrickLink. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service will be revised accordingly. More detailed information, including links to the updated documents, will be sent to all users closer to the time of integration.
Login Method Overhaul
Once the integration is complete, all users will be required to sign in via their LEGO Account. Standalone BrickLink logins will no longer be supported.
While no immediate action is required, users are encouraged to prepare for the transition by ensuring they have access to a LEGO Account and reviewing their account details.
The integration arrives in a milestone year, as BrickLink celebrates its 25th anniversary. The LEGO Group has stated its commitment to enhancing user experience and preparing the platform for the future. Additional updates are expected to be announced over the summer.
Further integration between BrickLink and LEGO’s official shop may also be on the horizon, potentially allowing users to purchase BrickLink-listed parts directly through LEGO.com. Any developments on that front will be reported as soon as new information becomes available.
