Several social media accounts that distribute unofficial LEGO(R) brick new product information have been posting about LEGO(R) sets for Christmas 2024.

It’s certain that the LEGO(R) Group will introduce a variety of new products for the Christmas season in 2024, but according to unofficial product information on social media, many Christmas-themed LEGO(R) sets are expected to be released from September to October.

This time, we’d like to thoroughly introduce the new LEGO(R) brick product information expected to be released for Christmas 2024.

The information sources are relatively reliable overseas social media accounts, but as the product names, figures, and release status are not confirmed at this point, please consider this as reference only.

Winter Hot Air Balloon Ride (10339)

The annual LEGO(R) Icons adult Christmas building set is expected to be introduced in October 2024 as well.

Last year it was the “Alpine Lodge,” but this year it’s predicted to be the “Winter Hot Air Balloon Ride (10339)”.

LEGO(R) New Product Information

It’s expected to be an adult set for ages 18 and up, consisting of 1,440 pieces including a hot air balloon, buildings, a mailbox, and a Christmas tree.

While LEGO(R) Icons Christmas building sets used to include fantasy elements like elves, in recent years they have focused more on realistic themes. This year’s new product also seems to be set in reality, judging from the product name.

A Set Featuring a Vehicle?

I don’t recall any LEGO(R) Icons Christmas building set having a vehicle in its product name before, but since this year’s new product includes “Hot Air Balloon,” it’s likely to include a balloon large enough for minifigures to ride in. This might mean the building could be slightly smaller than in previous years.

The mailbox and Christmas tree are likely to be small build models. There might also be a car or snowmobile included. As usual, it’s almost certain that about 5 minifigures will be included.

The “Winter Hot Air Balloon Ride (10339)” is expected to have 1,440 pieces and be released in October. The price is undetermined, but it looks to be a display model that will fully capture the Christmas atmosphere.

Houseplant Set

Christmas sets are also expected to be released in the LEGO(R) Icons houseplant series.

While a mini houseplant set not particularly related to Christmas was released in December 2023, in 2024, a Christmas wreath and poinsettia are expected to be newly released as part of the LEGO(R) Icons houseplant set in October.

A Christmas wreath is a circular Christmas decoration made from materials such as holly, pine, fir, cedar, and other evergreen leaves, red berries, and pine cones.

What is a Christmas Wreath?

While there are various theories about the origin of Christmas wreaths, according to Wikipedia, the common origin is traced to the ancient Roman custom of giving evergreen branches to people during New Year celebrations. Later, this custom merged with Christian culture, and wreaths began to be used as Christmas decorations.

Hanging a wreath on the door is said to symbolize warding off evil spirits, praying for a good harvest, and wishing for peace and prosperity. The circular shape, which has no beginning or end, is also said to represent a wish for eternal happiness and a prayer for God’s love.

Also Released in 2020

In October 2020, LEGO(R) released a “Christmas Wreath 2-in-1” as an official shop exclusive LEGO(R) set. It was a popular product that was frequently sold out when it was first released.

Poinsettias are vibrant red flowers often displayed at Christmas, also known as “Christmas Flowers,” and are essential for the holiday season. The red parts that look like petals are actually leaves.

LEGO(R) New Product Information

The current prediction is that the Christmas Wreath will have 1,194 pieces and be priced at $99.99, while the Poinsettia will have 608 pieces and be priced at $49.99.

The Christmas Wreath is expected to be priced at $99.99, making it a high-end product in the houseplant series.

It is likely that the leaves will be represented with parts in multiple colors, and it can be transformed into an Advent wreath with candles, making it a much more detailed product compared to the 2020 version.

The Poinsettia will probably be similar in composition to other houseplant series products. The red petal (leaf) parts might be represented with large pieces in a rough manner.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (21351)

The Disney animated feature film “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” based on Tim Burton’s original concept and released in 1993, is expected to be released as a LEGO® set in September.

This product was approved for production through the “LEGO® Ideas” initiative, which turns fan creations into LEGO® sets, passing the second review round of 2022.

While the August 1st release of the LEGO® Ideas “Jaws” set has already been officially announced, LEGO® Ideas typically releases one new product each month. Considering the timing of its approval for production, The Nightmare Before Christmas is the most likely candidate for the next release.

Official Shop Exclusive Seasonal Sets

This year, the LEGO(R) Group’s official online shop “LEGO(R) Shop Official Store” and other official shops are expected to release three new Christmas-themed seasonal sets: “Christmas Table Decoration (40743)”, “Christmas Ornament (40744)”, and “Santa’s Delivery Truck (40746)”. They are anticipated to be released in September, but October is also a possibility.

Predicted Christmas Seasonal Sets
  • 【Christmas】Christmas Table Decoration (40743) | 433 pieces | $39.99 | September 2024 release
  • 【Christmas】Christmas Ornament (40744) | 153 pieces | $12.99 | September 2024 release
  • 【Christmas】Santa’s Delivery Truck (40746) | 224 pieces | $19.99 | September 2024 release

The “Christmas Table Decoration” is expected to be priced at $39.99, which would be around 5,500 yen domestically, making it a relatively substantial product.

When thinking of table decorations, one might imagine something like a Christmas wreath, but since a wreath is also expected to be released as a LEGO(R) icon, this might be a different type of decoration.

The “Christmas Ornament” and “Santa’s Delivery Truck” are likely to be smaller boxed products.

The ornament will include parts to thread a string for hanging on the Christmas tree, and the Santa’s Delivery Truck is expected to include a small truck, a Santa minifigure, and accessories such as presents.

Advent Calendar

The LEGO(R) Advent Calendar is an annual Christmas set. This year’s new products have already been officially announced and are scheduled for release on September 1.

This year, there are six types: LEGO(R) Star Wars, LEGO(R) Marvel (Spider-Man), LEGO(R) Harry Potter, LEGO(R) City, LEGO(R) Friends, and the newly added LEGO(R) Disney.

What is an Advent Calendar?

The LEGO(R) Advent Calendar is a fun set that divides the box into 24 small compartments. Starting from December 1, you open one compartment each day like a daily calendar, obtaining one LEGO(R) item each day until the 24th, making the Christmas spirit soar!

The Advent Calendar originally comes from a Christian tradition to count down to Christmas, with small gifts like candies, photos, or illustrations placed in the 24 windows of the actual Advent Calendar.
