“Jurassic World Rebirth” is set five years after the events of “Jurassic World: Dominion”. The story follows a special team’s mission to secure DNA samples from massive dinosaurs living near the equator, which are believed to hold the key to a miraculous life-saving effect for humanity.
Scarlett Johansson plays the role of Zora Bennett. Bennett is a seasoned covert operations specialist who has been contracted to lead an elite team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three largest dinosaur species.
Zora’s operation encounters a civilian family whose boat expedition was capsized by predatory aquatic dinosaurs. Everyone washes ashore on an island where they confront a disturbing and shocking discovery that has been concealed from the world for decades.
Mahershala Ali plays Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted unit commander. Jonathan Bailey, who has been nominated for an Emmy and won an Olivier Award (“Wicked,” “Bridgerton”), portrays paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis. Emmy nominee Rupert Friend (“Homeland,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi”) takes on the role of Martin Krebs, a pharmaceutical company representative. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (“The Lincoln Lawyer,” “Murder on the Orient Express”) plays Reuben Delgado, the father of a shipwrecked civilian family.
The cast includes Luna Blaise (“Manifest”), David Iacono (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”), and Audrina Miranda (“Lopez vs. Lopez”) as members of Reuben’s family. Additionally, Philippine Velge (“Station Eleven”), Bechir Sylvain (“BMF”), and Ed Skrein (“Deadpool”) will appear as members of Zora and Krebs’ crew.
“Jurassic World Rebirth” is directed by BAFTA winner Edwards, with the screenplay by Koepp (“War of the Worlds”), based on characters created by Michael Crichton.
The film is produced by Oscar® nominee Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, both longtime producers of the Jurassic franchise who also produced this summer’s blockbuster, “Twisters”. Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart, and Jim Spencer serve as executive producers.
With its star-studded cast and experienced production team, this film promises to be an exciting new chapter in the series.
“Jurassic World Rebirth” is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on July 2, 2025.
