I would like to predict the details of the 2024 event for the LEGO® Harry Potter event “Back to Hogwarts,” which is held every September. Please note that the content of this article is not confirmed information until an official announcement is made.

Back to Hogwarts

“Back to Hogwarts” is a major LEGO® Harry Potter event that begins annually on September 1st at the official online shop, the LEGO® Shop Official Store.

In the Harry Potter series, Harry, Hermione, Ron, and other new students of Hogwarts embarked on their journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross Station in London on September 1st, 1991.

Let’s Thoroughly Predict the 2024 LEGO® Harry Potter ‘Back to Hogwarts’ Event!

Release of Collectible Sets

In the previous year, 2023, the massive LEGO® Harry Potter set “Gringotts™ Bank Collector’s Edition 76417,” consisting of 4,801 pieces, was released exclusively for VIP (now Insiders) members on September 1st.

What About the 2024 Large Set?

In 2024, it is strongly anticipated that a large adult-oriented set, “The Burrow: Collector’s Edition (76437),” consisting of 2,405 pieces, will be released on September 1st. The price is expected to be around USD260.

A Chilean retailer posted an image on Instagram celebrating Harry Potter’s birthday on July 31st, which appeared to show this model, making the release of “The Burrow” almost certain. This post seemed to be an accident, and the image was subsequently deleted.

What is The Burrow?

“The Burrow” is the Weasley family’s home, known for its iconic and unbalanced design. It looks like a massive ramshackle house but is magically reinforced to prevent it from collapsing. According to wizardingworld.com, the name Weasley is derived from “weasel,” and “burrow” means a weasel’s den.

“The Burrow” was also released as a regular-sized playset in LEGO® bricks in 2020, which was very popular and remained in short supply.

Purchase Bonuses

During last year’s Back to Hogwarts event, the “Gringotts Vault” and “Quidditch Practice Mini Set” were given as exclusive bonuses to those who purchased LEGO® Harry Potter products starting September 1st.

New LEGO® Product Information2023 “Back to Hogwarts” Purchase Bonuses

The Gringotts Vault was a small set that could be connected to the aforementioned adult-oriented product, “Gringotts Bank,” but this year’s purchase bonus is strongly anticipated to be “Borgin and Burkes” related to “The Burrow.”

“Borgin and Burkes: Floo Network (40695)” had its image leaked on the U.S. auction site eBay a while ago, and according to it, there seems to be a mechanism using a green worm gear to disappear through the chimney. A worm gear is a long, rod-like gear.

What is Borgin and Burkes?

Borgin and Burkes, like The Burrow, is connected to the Floo Network and is a shop in Knockturn Alley that deals in magical items related to the Dark Arts and other mysterious objects.

In “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” Harry tries to travel to Diagon Alley from The Burrow’s fireplace but ends up in Borgin and Burkes’ fireplace because he couldn’t clearly pronounce “Diagon Alley.”

Given the connection between The Burrow and Borgin and Burkes, and the fact that images have already been leaked on eBay and a retailer’s Instagram, it is almost certain that The Burrow will appear as a Collector’s Edition and Borgin and Burkes as a purchase bonus at this year’s Back to Hogwarts event.

The Weasley Family Clock

There is speculation that another purchase bonus, the Weasley Family Clock, will be given to users who purchase “The Burrow.” This clock, in the story, shows the location of the Weasley family members rather than the time.

Current predictions suggest that the “Weasley Family Clock” will not be a LEGO® brick set but something similar to the coin distributed on this year’s LEGO® Star Wars Day. However, both the distribution and the form of this item are currently unconfirmed. If the predictions are correct, it might be a design with a metal medal featuring moving hands.

LEGO® Harry Potter Sale

Last year, products bundling four types of crest sets, two each, were sold at a 20% discount, so this year there might be a bundle set of BrickHeadz, or a broader sale on LEGO® Harry Potter products.

This concludes our predictions for the “LEGO® Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts” event in September 2024.

We will update you with the latest information as soon as it becomes available, so in the meantime, enjoy building and playing with LEGO® Harry Potter!
