Twister
“Twister” is a disaster film depicting tornado researchers facing off against massive tornadoes, known for having Steven Spielberg as executive producer. The movie’s dramatic tornado scenes were a major talking point at the time of release.
This creation faithfully recreates the movie’s thrilling scenes, featuring a massive tornado that spins and approaches a red pickup truck. Additionally, a cow figure is incorporated into the mechanism, spinning within the tornado to perfectly capture one of the film’s most memorable scenes.
Details of the tornado’s rotation mechanism. Gears are built into the base, allowing the tornado to actually move forward while spinning.
The tornado observation device “Dorothy” from the movie and minifigures. Dorothy contains numerous sensors and played a crucial role in collecting internal tornado data.
This is the first time a Twister-themed creation has advanced to LEGO® Ideas review. The innovative spinning tornado mechanism is highly impressive and represents an interesting work that demonstrates the possibilities of LEGO® bricks. We eagerly await the results of the review process.
