An overseas social media account that shares unofficial information about new LEGO(R) brick products has posted about new LEGO(R) Marvel products for 2025. However, this information is not confirmed until there is an official announcement.
According to the post, LEGO(R) bricks for “Fantastic Four” are expected to be released in 2025.
There is no information about the release date, but the fact that information is available at this point suggests that if it is actually released, it is likely to be in the first half of 2025.
First LEGO(R) Brick Version
The Fantastic Four is roughly a superhero team consisting of a rubber man (Reed), a flame man (Johnny), a rock man (Ben), and an invisible woman (Sue), featured in comics, anime, movies, and more.
The Fantastic Four has (probably) never been made into LEGO(R) bricks before, so if it is actually released, this will be the first LEGO(R) brick version.
The prediction is that the LEGO(R) set will be Fantastic Four vs Galactus, but if this is true, it’s likely to be a kids’ play set themed around battle scenes.
While the new Fantastic Four movie “Fantastic Four: First Steps” is scheduled for release in the US on July 25, 2025, the LEGO(R) set to be released is expected to be themed after the comic book version.
Who is Galactus?
Galactus is a cosmic being who is a universe-scale disaster villain that destroys stars and eats their energy.
Galactus has never been produced as a LEGO(R) block, but he appears as the final boss in the game “LEGO(R) Marvel Super Heroes: The Game”.
In the anime, he tried to eat Earth due to hunger but was persuaded to stop by his subordinate Silver Surfer.
In the 2007 movie “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”, he was depicted as a cloud-like form large enough to engulf the Earth in the finale.
The idea that he needs to consume the energy of collapsing planets to maintain his existence seems incredibly inconvenient from a human perspective, but given the vastness of the universe, he might not actually struggle too much.
New Fantastic Four Movie
It’s already been decided that Galactus will appear in the new movie set to release in 2025, and he will be played by Ralph Fiennes, who also appeared in the Harry Potter series.
Incidentally, the leader of the Fantastic Four, Reed, will be played by Pedro Pascal, famous for his role as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian.
Silver Surfer, who has been portrayed as an ally to Earth in previous works despite being Galactus’ subordinate, has been a male character until now but will be a female character in the new movie.
As Galactus is a cosmic-level villain, releasing adult-oriented products themed around the movie in addition to playsets could potentially be popular.
