While there are various theories about the origins of Christmas wreaths, according to Wikipedia, the common origin is believed to be the ancient Roman custom of gifting evergreen branches during New Year celebrations. Later, this tradition merged with Christian culture, leading to wreaths being used as Christmas decorations.
Hanging a wreath on the front door is said to symbolize protection against evil spirits, prayers for a good harvest, and wishes for peace and prosperity. The circular shape, having no beginning or end and representing eternity, is also believed to embody wishes for eternal happiness and prayers for God’s love.
Examples of actual Christmas wreaths
Isn’t the LEGO® Icons wreath so realistic that it doesn’t even look like it’s made of LEGO® bricks?
It can also be transformed into a “garland,” a decorative piece made by intertwining flowers, leaves, and fruits in a chain-like manner.
This holiday season, let’s brighten up with a wreath made from LEGO® bricks!
The Christmas flower “Poinsettia” is also being released simultaneously.
