A project to turn LEGO® brick fans’ creations into products, “LEGO® Ideas,” has announced that the “Bolex 16mm Camera” has advanced to the review phase.
If it passes the review, it will be released as a new LEGO® Ideas set between 2025 and 2026.

This LEGO® brick creation is inspired by the legendary Bolex, a Swiss cinema camera manufacturer that has been developing and selling 16mm film cameras since 1923. Bolex cameras are renowned and still cherished by enthusiasts, with ongoing production and repair services.
The model has a luxurious black and metallic silver finish, and the lens is interchangeable.
The camera’s interior features transparent blocks representing film, which can be operated with a handle.

What Are the Chances of This Becoming a Product?
The creator, eliot.obrien, is entering the review stage for the second time.
In the past, LEGO® Ideas has turned a Polaroid camera into a product. While Bolex may not have the same level of recognition as Polaroid, it remains a legendary camera with many enthusiasts. Perhaps it has a fifty-fifty chance of passing the review.
