The “Coldplay ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour'” project has advanced to the review stage of “LEGO® Ideas,” a program that turns LEGO® brick fans’ creations into products.

If it passes the review, it will be released as a new LEGO® Ideas set between 2025 and 2026.

What are the chances of it becoming a product?

This is the first time for the creator MIKEYDENDEN to advance to the review stage.

Many music-related projects have advanced to the LEGO® Ideas review, but none have been turned into products since the release of BTS Dynamite in March 2023.

Currently, LEGO® Ideas has become an adult-oriented brand targeting products for ages 18 and above, but the premise is that its subjects should be themes that children can safely enjoy as well.

Doesn’t seem child-friendly

Coldplay is an extremely popular band with undeniable recognition. However, if their concert stage were to be made into a product, even if it’s safer compared to other heavy metal bands, it might be difficult to call it a set that children can enjoy. The BTS set was themed after a music video and had colorful buildings and mechanisms for members to dance, so it was content that children could enjoy.

It’s somewhat hard to imagine turning the concert stage of a band primarily listened to by adults into a LEGO® block product, and rock music’s strong lyrical messages can also be considered unsuitable for toys. The chances of this work passing the review are probably not very high.
