A project to commercialize fan creations of LEGO® bricks, “LEGO® Ideas,” has decided to advance “Downton Abbey: Highclere Castle” to the review stage.
If it passes the review, it will be released as a new LEGO® Ideas set between 2025 and 2026.

A LEGO® brick creation of Highclere Castle, the setting of the British drama “Downton Abbey,” which aired from 2010 to 2015.
The title ‘Downton Abbey’ is also the name of the building in the series, and its model is the real Highclere Castle located in Hampshire, England.
“Downton Abbey” is a drama that depicts the lives of the Crawley family and those around them as they face inheritance issues and societal changes triggered by the sinking of the Titanic on April 14, 1912. A film adaptation was also made.
The series includes numerous mini-figures of the characters. The purple-clad dowager is Violet Crawley, played by Maggie Smith, who is also known for her role as Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter series.
The building features rooms and interior furnishings as well.
What are the chances of it being commercialized?
This is the second time that the creator, BRO3, has advanced to the review stage.
Buildings and local themes have become more likely to pass the LEGO® Ideas review compared to before, but since Downton Abbey is less well-known compared to other movies and dramas adopted by LEGO® Ideas, passing the review is not expected to be easy.
