Create a LEGO® brick model, and it might be chosen as a purchase bonus!
The “LEGO® Ideas” project, which turns fan creations into LEGO® brick products, sometimes offers purchase bonuses in addition to regular products for sale.
Works chosen to be produced as purchase bonuses under the “LEGO® Ideas” brand are selected from grand prize winners of contests held periodically with specific themes.
LEGO® Ideas bonus sets have been produced since 2019, and they are all unique, fun to build and play with, and stylish as room decor.
This time, we’d like to introduce all the LEGO® Ideas products that have been produced as purchase bonuses so far. The Studs editorial team has acquired all sets to date.
Space Rocket Ride (40335)
154 pieces | June 2019
Produced in 2019. It was designed to move back and forth when the knob on the back was turned.
It’s believed to have influenced the Adventure Ride series distributed as a purchase bonus during Bricktober 2022.
Some sets from the Adventure Ride series are still available in exchange for points as Insiders benefits at the official LEGO® Shop store.
Vintage Car (40448)
189 pieces | January 2021
Distribution started at official LEGO® Shop stores in January 2021.
The New York Knicks-style blue varsity jacket minifigure torso has a squid logo on the back, making it incredibly cool. If you’re a fan of minifigures, it’s still recommended to get one even now.
Sailboat Adventure (40487)
English name: Sailboat Adventure | 330 pieces | August 2021
Yachts are also available as LEGO® City playsets and as adult models in LEGO® Technic.
LEGO® City Yacht 60438
Adventure action with a realistic yacht
Two minifigures embark on an adventure story with a realistic yacht featuring a tall mast, patterned sails, cabin, and rudder
LEGO® Technic Emirates Team New Zealand AC75 Yacht 42174
Admire from every angle
Includes two main sail skins, jib, rotating mast, rigging, main sheet and jib sheet, foil arms, and foil wings
Cosmic Cardboard Adventures (40533)
English name: Cosmic Cardboard Adventures | 203 pieces | May 2022
A unique cardboard spaceship that won the 2021 contest and was decided to be produced. The original design submission included a robot in addition to the bear and cat, but it was cut from the product version.
The Cosmic Cardboard Adventures was also offered as a Studs exclusive bonus gift campaign at the official LEGO® Shop store in December 2022.
Ray the Castaway (40566)
English name: Ray the Castaway | 239 pieces | October 2022
A desert island survival set that won the seaside creation contest in May 2021 and was decided to be produced.
It’s believed to be modeled after the Tom Hanks movie “Cast Away,” but the volleyball Wilson was not included.
“Cast Away” is a masterpiece of ultimate survival movies. We strongly recommend it to those who haven’t seen it, as that knowledge might come in handy someday.
Tribute to Galileo Galilei (40595)
English name: Tribute to Galileo Galilei | 307 pieces | November 2023
Whether he said “E pur si muove” (And yet it moves) or not, this is the laboratory of the Italian scientist “Galileo Galilei” that everyone knows. It won the moving creation contest with a STEM theme.
Books Are My Passion (40698)
English name: Books Are My Passion | 285 pieces | October 2024
Won the “Singles’ Day” contest in July 2023. Singles’ Day is on November 11, and the campaign for this set also runs until November 11.
