An social media account that shares unofficial predictions about new LEGO® brick products has mentioned the release of “Tom and Jerry” LEGO® BrickHeadz (40793). However, this information is not confirmed at this point.
While not yet confirmed, new information suggests that the “Tom and Jerry” LEGO® BrickHeadz are predicted to be released in late December 2024 or January 2025.
Tom and Jerry
“Tom and Jerry” is a comedy animated series depicting the slapstick adventures of Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse. Since the release of the first short film in 1940, numerous TV animations and movies have been produced, and it remains a highly popular franchise to this day.
Tom and Jerry have (probably) never been made into LEGO® brick products before, but given their enduring popularity, it wouldn’t be surprising if they were to be produced.
Tom and Jerry are currently owned by Warner Brothers, a company that has collaborated with the LEGO® Group on other products such as LEGO® Harry Potter.
In the past, LEGO® BrickHeadz has produced one-off characters from franchises that haven’t been made into full LEGO® brick series, such as Back to the Future, The Simpsons, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Therefore, it’s entirely possible that Tom and Jerry could be made into a one-off LEGO® BrickHeadz product this time as well.
Other Works Too?
Hanna-Barbera, the animation studio founded by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the creators of Tom and Jerry, has produced many other hit series besides “Tom and Jerry,” including “The Flintstones,” “The Jetsons,” and “Scooby-Doo.”
While Hanna-Barbera has been under Warner Brothers since 2001, we can hope for LEGO® BrickHeadz versions of multiple properties, and even look forward to potential LEGO® Minifigure Series releases!
