A design inspired by the iconic American TV drama *The X-Files* has been officially approved for production through the LEGO(R) Ideas “Nostalgic 90s” contest. After years of anticipation among fans, the long-awaited set is finally becoming a reality.

The X-Files

*The X-Files* originally aired from 1993 to 2002 and became a major hit. The series follows FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully as they investigate unusual, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena and unidentified creatures—cases that fall outside the scope of conventional law enforcement. Its cultural impact was significant, leading to multiple film adaptations and a reboot.

Following the announcement of the set’s production, Gillian Anderson, who portrayed Dana Scully, responded on the social media platform X with the message, “We’ve arrived!!! 🛸,” garnering over 40,000 likes.

Anderson had previously shown interest in a block-based version of the series. In 2015, she posted a photo featuring mini-figures modeled after herself and co-star David Duchovny. Accompanied by the comment, “Time to start an X-Files Lego campaign?!”, the post sparked excitement and anticipation among fans at the time.

At present, the release date for the X-Files-themed LEGO(R) set has not been announced. Industry observers expect it will likely launch no earlier than 2026, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further updates. For devoted followers, this promises to be an unmissable collectible.
