The project “LEGO® Ideas,” which turns creations from LEGO® block fans into products, has confirmed that “Overpass Park” will advance to the review stage.
If it passes the review, it will be released as a new LEGO® Ideas product between 2025 and 2026.
Overpass Park
Secured advancement to the 2024 3rd round LEGO® Ideas product review with 10,000 supporter votes. Overpass Park: LEGO IDEAS Official
A park created under the overpass for enjoying skateboarding.
Next to it is a cafe that’s likely to be bustling with skateboard enthusiasts. It features a stylish design with a slanted roof and full glass walls.
Multiple sets can be connected for expansion.
What are the chances of it becoming a product?
This is the third time the creator terauma has advanced to the review stage.
While roads and parks at minifigure scale are typically themes covered in LEGO® City, products featuring overpasses like this one are rare. If produced, it could be useful for expanding LEGO® block towns.
However, terauma recently won the LEGO® Ideas contest representing the 80s, with the decision to produce Gizmo from the movie “Gremlins”. This might work against them in the review process.
For the sake of LEGO® City kids, we hope to see “Overpass Park” become a product!
