The “Sawmill” has been confirmed to advance to the review (evaluation) stage of the “LEGO® Ideas” project, which turns LEGO® brick fans’ creations into products.
If it passes the review, it will be released as a new LEGO® Ideas product between 2025 and 2026.
Sawmill
Confirmed to advance to the 3rd LEGO® Ideas Product Review of 2024 after gaining 10,000 supporters. Sawmill: LEGO IDEAS Official
Created as an additional building for LEGO® City, this red brick building is a modern sawmill with contemporary equipment. It features numerous windows.
Logs are fed into the building through the entrance.
Inside the building, logs are cut into lumber by an electric saw on a conveyor belt.
The processed lumber appears to be stacked on pallets for transport.
What are the chances of it becoming a product?
This is the first time the creator, Bob_Brickman, has advanced to the review stage.
While sawmills have advanced to the LEGO® Ideas level before, none have passed the review. However, with building designs being selected more frequently recently, the sawmill may have a chance.
That said, as LEGO® Ideas has essentially become an adult-oriented brand, a more realistic building design might have a better chance of passing the review than one tailored to LEGO® City. We look forward to seeing if it passes the review.
