LEGO® Turing Machine: From Pixels to Bricks! Innovative Computer Design Advances in LEGO® Ideas Review

The LEGO® brick fan creation project “LEGO® Ideas” has decided to advance the “Turing Machine” to the review (evaluation) stage.

If it passes the evaluation, it will be released as a new LEGO® Ideas product between 2025 and 2026.

The Turing Machine is a theoretical model for performing calculations devised by British mathematician Alan Turing in 1936 and forms the basis of modern computers.

The head reads and writes on a writable tape, displaying the current state in the status display frame.

What are the chances of it becoming a product?

This is the first review advancement for the creator, The Bananaman 201864801.

While the LEGO® Group is focusing on STEM education, it might be difficult to commercialize this as a toy. We hope it passes the review, but the chances are likely not high.
