LEGO® Star Wars 25th Anniversary
2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the first release of LEGO® Star Wars sets in 1999.
Furthermore, since “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” was also released in 1999, 2024 will also commemorate its 25th anniversary.

May 4th is celebrated as Star Wars Day, coined from the pun “May the 4th” derived from the English phrase “May the Force (be with you),” frequently used in the Star Wars franchise. It’s recognized (by fans, etc.) as a day when various Star Wars-themed events and campaigns are held around the world.

In 2023, among the three purchase bonuses, the “commemorative coin and blueprint set” was exclusively offered as a gift for VIP members (now known as Insiders members) of the LEGO® Shop Official Store. However, it sold out within approximately one hour of its release at midnight on May 1st, 2023.
For 2024, similar merchandise distribution is expected, according to information from overseas social media and other sources. It’s speculated that R2-D2 patches and keychains are likely candidates. These items could potentially feature the R2-D2 logo mark for the LEGO® Star Wars 25th anniversary.
The purchase bonuses of non-mini set merchandise distributed on LEGO® Star Wars Day are exclusive to the LEGO® Shop Official Store and are not available for distribution in LEGO® stores, ensuring that those who definitely want them should consider making their purchase as soon as they become available.
Purchase Bonus Expectations (2) Battle Droid Carrier
Another anticipated purchase bonus for LEGO® Star Wars Day is the “Battle Droid Carrier.”

While purchase bonuses for LEGO® Star Wars Day typically require meeting a set spending threshold and are limited to LEGO® Star Wars products, new LEGO® Star Wars products are released simultaneously every year on May 1st, including adult-oriented UCS sets.
Although it’s not confirmed at this point, expected releases for May 1st, 2024, include sets such as those featuring The Mandalorian, Anakin’s Podracer, Droideka, Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator, UCS TIE Interceptor, and BrickHeadz sets.

LEGO® BrickHeadz Speculation
Among the two sets expected to be released for LEGO® Star Wars BrickHeadz, one set is believed to feature characters from “Episode I: The Phantom Menace,” which also celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2024, similar to LEGO® Star Wars.
The potential candidates include Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Maul, Queen Amidala in her regal attire, young Anakin, and Jar Jar Binks. As these characters have not been prominently featured in recent LEGO® Star Wars releases, fans are eagerly anticipating their release.
