This creation features legendary painter Bob Ross, who taught landscape painting techniques on the American TV show “The Joy of Painting” from 1983 to 1994, along with his studio and an exhibition space for his works, all made with LEGO(R) bricks.
This work recreates some of Bob Ross’s most famous paintings in LEGO(R) bricks, including Mountain Retreat, Misty Waterfall, Winter Night, Campfire, Sunset, and Winter Solitude. The detail is impressive!
The studio looks like this from above, but the wall layout can be rearranged.
“The Joy of Painting” was a unique program where painter Bob Ross completed a landscape painting in just 30 minutes while explaining the process to viewers.
Although Ross passed away in 1995 due to illness, full episodes can be watched on the official Bob Ross YouTube channel. This video features the “Mountain Retreat” theme, which is also included in this LEGO(R) creation.
What are the chances of it becoming a product?
This is the first review advancement for the creator, Bricknificent.
Another creator’s work based on “The Joy of Painting” has also advanced to the 2nd round of 2024 review. Given that the show has already ended, it’s possible that neither of these projects will be turned into products.
