LEGO(R) Ideas, a project that turns LEGO(R) block fans’ creations into products, has announced that the “LEGO ZH1 35mm Film Camera” has advanced to the review stage.
If it passes the review, it will be released as a new LEGO(R) Ideas product between 2025 and 2026.

A camera made of LEGO(R) blocks that can actually take photos has gained 10,000 supporters. It features the classic LEGO(R) Group logo from 1934.
Just like a real film camera, it has a structure that allows you to load 35mm film from the back and take photos. The creator mentioned that ensuring the camera’s light-tightness was particularly challenging.
On the creator’s Instagram account, you can see the process of loading film and starting to take photos. Photos taken with this camera are also published on the same account.
What are the chances of it becoming a product?
This is the first time the creator Zung92 has advanced to the review stage.
While LEGO(R) Creator has recently released a camera set, it cannot actually take photos.
The chances of this project, which can actually capture images, passing the review might be fifty-fifty.
