The “CLUE (Cluedo)” project has been confirmed to advance to the review stage of “LEGO(R) Ideas,” a program that turns LEGO(R) brick fans’ creations into products.
If it passes the review, it will be released as a new LEGO(R) Ideas product between 2025 and 2026.

Cluedo/Clue is a detective board game where players try to solve the murder of a wealthy man in a mansion. It was first released in 1943 in the UK under the product name “Cluedo,” but when released in the United States, the name was changed to Clue.
The goal of the game is to deduce the culprit, weapon, and crime scene from among six suspects. The combination of these three elements is different each time, ensuring the game remains engaging even after multiple plays.

What are the chances of it becoming a product?
This is the first time the creator, RobZic, has advanced to the review stage.
Playable board games are a relatively uncommon category among LEGO(R) Ideas review entries, which might work in its favor during the evaluation process.
However, the LEGO(R) Group recently announced “Monkey Palace” in collaboration with board game giant Asmodee, and plans to introduce several more new releases in the future. Given this situation, it may not be easy for this project to pass the review.

While recreating existing board games with LEGO(R) bricks might be interesting, creating original games that leverage the unique characteristics of LEGO(R) bricks may have a higher chance of being approved. However, designing a game from scratch would be quite challenging. We can only hope this project passes the review.
