A creation depicting characters and scenes from Studio Ghibli’s masterpiece “My Neighbor Totoro” using LEGO® bricks.
Minifigures and buildable figures of characters such as Small Totoro, Medium Totoro, Mei and Satsuki, and Totoro from the movie are included.
The iconic Catbus is recreated using brown-toned parts, though in the original work, it appeared slightly more yellowish.
The roof is detachable, revealing seats inside. Some may desire a bit more fluffiness for the tail.
What are the Chances of Production?
Designer danielbradleyy makes their second appearance in the review phase this time.
“My Neighbor Totoro” previously entered the first review phase in 2021, with a submission by LEGO® Ideas regular legotruman. The submission included figures of the Catbus and main characters but did not pass review.
While Studio Ghibli-themed creations have made appearances in LEGO® Ideas reviews before, none have been produced thus far.
If there were to be a Studio Ghibli-themed LEGO® product, it might have a higher chance of being released through LEGO® ICONS or similar lines rather than LEGO® Ideas. Given this, passing the review may be challenging once again.
